Rehearsal notes 2

Not much interesting happened in this weeks rehearsals. We ran through most of the first 2 acts on tuesday but our rehearsal was a bit disjointed due to us needing to "stop and start" various scenes and rework them using the Mienser method. We did not Miesner the "heads of the armed forces" scene this week, although I felt it is needed for us to understand the context of the scene. Each time we run this particular scene it feels wooden to me, and as if we are just reciting lines to one another. Also because we didnt reach acts 4 or 5 this week I managed to get away with the fact that I know all my lines BAR TWO which both happen to be in act 5 (the final closing scene of the play) and I know they are not very long but I just haven't been able to stick these two lines in my head yet. I keep getting them jumbled up in the wrong order, but I am working on this.  I am very aware of the fact that compared to many people in the cast I do not have many lines to learn and it is unacceptable for me to not know all my lines by this point in the rehearsal process. But instead of getting down on myself about it I have decided to be positive and spend the whole weekend learning my last two lines in the play and going over and cementing all of my other lines. I also believe some defamiliarization is in order.

Rachel's To Do List:

- Next week suggest to scene members that we Miensner Act 2 scene 7  (heads of the armed forces scene)
- Learn lines for act 5 ASAPISH
- Defamiliarization
